We had great memories together with Daniel and Olav visiting the US, Brewster and the Avalon beach house.
How wonderful it was to stay with Dan and Snarfried.
God Bless and Thanks for the memories.

I met Daniel through our Uncle Arne (my Great Uncle). When Daniel visited him here in the USA we would get together at the Uncles house or our house in Connecticut. Daniel was an easy going very nice person. While we were challenged at times with communication efforts since I have no Norwegian language skills and his English wasn't perfect, we certainly did just fine enjoying each others company. And also understood that Uncle Arne could be a very challenging person to deal with - Daniel was very patient with him.
I understand Daniel suffered at the end with Alzheimer's. This too was what our Aunt Karo (Arne's wife) went through as did her sister Helene (my grandmother) and then my mother Grace Marion succumbed to just last year after nearly 10 years. I can only share one of the few Norwegian saying I still use regularly and I hope its context is correct: Uff da!
Rest in Peace Daniel.
Du vekket interessen for inspirerende litteratur, og introduserte meg for dine foreldre.
Fred over hans minne!
